Earlier this year Ramona Nitz, center, hosted a Silpada Jewelry Party as a fundraiser for the new Cherokee Yacht Club. The jewelry party raised a total of $3000, including matching funds. Supervisors make election results official (11/16/12)
At Wednesday's meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors, Elections Assistant Jill Titcomb presented the Board with the canvass of the November 6th election. She reported that Cherokee County had a 71.2% turnout of the 9403 registered voters in the county, and 2496 absentee ballots were accepted. Nine absentee ballots were rejected because they were not completely filled out as instructed. Fifty-seven absentee ballots were not returned to the Auditor's office...

Three sizeable and costly repair projects for the Cherokee School District were identified at a recent Team Management meeting during discussion of the District's Physical Plant and Equipment Levy funds for the 2012-2013 school year. Taco John's 15th Annual "Super Spuds" Potato Decorating Contest (11/16/12)
