County Work Services installs lockers (12/27/12)
Clients at the CCWS will now have a secure place to place their personal items, as lockers were recently installed at the Cherokee County Work Services with help from a grant from the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation. Supervisors approve Amended Budget (12/27/12)
At Monday's meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors, a public hearing was held on the proposed 2012/2013 Budget amendment. There being no objections raised, the Budget amendment was approved. Cherokee Community Blood Drive results (12/27/12)
Here are the results from Monday's community blood drive in Cherokee. There were 34 donors and 44 units were collected. The number collected is larger, due to the fact that some donors like to donate double units. Overall, there were 41 registered donors, one first time donor, and five milestone donors. Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Director Julie Hering-Kent recently presented Greg Stieneke, representing the Christian Action Program (C.A.P.), with a $500 check for the organization's Food Pantry.
