Several Alta-Aurelia youth wrestlers competed in the recent Northwest Iowa District Wrestling Tournament for a chance to qualify for the AAU State Wrestling Meet , which will be held at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on February 23rd and 24th. Winther, Stave & Co., LLP has recently released an audit report on the City of Cherokee. Winther, Stave & Co., LLP reported that the City's receipts totaled $7,510,459 for the year ended June 30, 2012, a 17% decrease from 2011. The receipts included $2,671,560 in property and other City taxes, $248,846 in tax increment financing collections, $1,102,408 from grants and contributions, $2,679,687 in charges for services, $30,116 in interest on investments, $264,331 in bonds proceeds, and $513,511 from other sources.. ...
