Cherokee Airport to host 'Wings and Wheels' (Local News ~ 05/06/13)
One of Cherokee's most popular traditions is the annual fly-in breakfast held at the Cherokee Airport. Many may remember the event as the Flight Breakfast but the event was changed last year to what organizers are calling "Wings and Wheels Breakfast" and will include not just an airplane show, but automobiles, motorcycles, tractors and a helicopter, plus airplane rides, for $20 weather permitting... -

The Cherokee Braves kept dodging snowstorms last week to get in two more Lakes Conference tennis meets on the road. The WHS boys dropped a 7-2 decision at Spirit Lake and also lost a hard-fought 6-3 match at Le Mars.
