Cherokee Area Archives update on digitalization of newspapers

Over the past several months, the Cherokee Public Library has submitted several articles mentioning the digitalization on its website of all of Cherokee newspapers since 1870. Supervisors OK Community Services personnel issues

At its weekly meeting Tuesday, the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors approved a final payment of $6,517.53 to Lynda Holmich, who retired as a Case Manager on June 30, 2013. Holmich had served in her position since August 1996, and her total payout included one week's regular pay, three hours of Comp. Time, 160.2 hours of vacation, and 146.63 hours of accrued vacation. All were based on her hourly pay of $18.63...

The Cherokee Braves baseball team dropped a doubleheader at Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto Saturday by the scores of 9-6 and 13-5, and then rebounded with an exciting 5-4 win over Lakes Conference foe Spencer in Cherokee Monday night.
