Funeral services for Frances Hasenwinkel, 89, of Aurelia, were held at 10 a.m. today (July 29, 2013) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia, with Pastor Larry Lemke officiating. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Aurelia. Visitation was on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the family being present. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements... -

DeVane R. Schmidt of Cherokee,50,passed away Thursday evening, July 25, 2013 at Country Side Estates in Cherokee. DeVane was born on February 17, 1963 in Alta to Elmer and Lois (Husman) Stykel. He attended Cherokee Community Schools. He was married to Penny Hoeppner, and to this union a daughter, Cassie, was born. DeVane was a lifelong resident of Cherokee., and worked as a handyman, doing carpentry and yard work over the years. He loved to go camping, fishing and spending time with family... -
