On Thursday evening, April 30, the Cherokee Concert Band will give a fine program and recital at the Grand opera house, beginning at 8:30 p.m. The band now numbers fifty-two pieces and is in excellent shape for the coming attraction. Since the Mardi Gras, which netted the treasury sufficient money to carry the band over until April 1st, there has been considerable expense, such as music, director's salary, etc., and a large attendance is earnestly requested by the members of the band... -

At its weekly meeting on Tuesday, the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors received a detailed analysis of their current employee health insurance plan and comparisons with other available plans from Wellmark Representative Rick Angell and Don Faber of Three Rivers Benefit Corporation, and after discussion, the Supervisors approved the recommendation to renew the existing plan, which includes a $1000/$2000 deductible, with $2000/$4000 max out of pocket and $25 for office calls...
