Please bring back summer lunch

Summer lunch programs provide a worthwhile service for families during the summer school break. The federally subsidized program was not available this year in the Cherokee School District. There might have been obstacles that of which we are not aware in providing the free lunches to children in the district. We just hope that this worthwhile program resumes in future years...

Braves grab 2 baseball wins (High School Sports ~ 06/26/15)
Eight was the magic number for the Cherokee Braves in two recent baseball games as the team beat Hull Western Christian 8-4 Monday night in Hull, and handled Sheldon 8-3 in Cherokee on Tuesday night. The fast-improving Braves also demolished Storm Lake 11-1 in five innings in Cherokee Wednesday night but game statistics were not available at press time Thursday.
