Clines celebrate 60th Anniversary (Anniversary ~ 07/13/15)
Dale and Caryl Lee Cline were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee on July 17, 1955, and they will soon be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple have four children - Deb (Vern) VanPeursem, who currently resides in Sioux City; Doug (Sue) Cline, Johnston; Nancy (Randy) Ewing, LeMars; and Dan (Tami) Cline, Spencer, and they also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren... -
4H finds way for poultry participation (Local News ~ 07/13/15)
Although poultry cannot be part of live exhibits at the Cherokee County Fair this year, fair officials are doing what they can to include poultry projects as part of the fair. At the Cherokee Chamber Coffee on Friday, hosted by the Cherokee County Fair Board, Leon Klotz announced that the poultry exhibitors will bring in chicken cages decorated with photos and other items to illustrate their 4H projects this year... -

Open House in Aurelia (Local News ~ 07/13/15)
The Cherokee Regional Clinic hosted an Open House at its Aurelia office on Thursday, including tours of the newly refurbished building and a free lunch next door at the Aurelia Community Center, featuring hot dogs and hamburgers grilled on Aurelia's Main Street. Cherokee Regional recently purchased the former practice of Dr. Patricia Harrison, which included the Aurelia office. MARCUS - The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Athletic Boosters are hosting a 4-person Best Shot Golf Tournament Saturday, July 25, at the Marcus Golf Course.
