The Cherokee Concert Band held its first rehearsal since the close of the summer concerts at the armory yesterday afternoon, under the leadership of Harry Cline. A fairly good number of members were present. It was planned not to hold pratice until some time next March in preparation for the summer concerts, but the band has been asked to play at the foot ball game between LeMars and Cherokee here Thanskgiving day and it was thought best to hold practice before this event. ... -
Thomas J. "Tom" Keller (Obituary ~ 11/13/15)
Thomas J. "Tom" Keller of Cherokee, 63, passed away Saturday afternoon November 7, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 14th, at 11 a.m. at the Cherokee Community Center, upper level, with Mr. Mark Leeds officiating. Tom's remains were cremated and there will be no visitation. The Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with the arrangements.
