Two area youth bowling teams compete at State Meet (High School Sports ~ 05/27/16)
REMSEN - Maple Lanes Bowl recently had two teams travel to Fort Dodge to compete in the USBC Iowa Youth Championship Tournament, which is held at the Family Bowling Center & Ridgewood Lanes. The tournament ran from April 2nd till May 1st. 269 teams and a total of 1076 bowlers bowled in this tournamen. The strong language directed at the representative of Tyson Foods at the May 24 Cherokee City Council meeting was appropriate. Tyson Foods is interfering with efforts to encourage a food processing company moving into the now abandoned building.
