'Hunger Stomp' in Cherokee (Local News ~ 10/31/16)
One of the designated times for putting together meals that will go to feed those in need was filled Washington High School juniors and seniors (see photo). WHS Prom fundraiser Nov. 12 (Local News ~ 10/31/16)
A fundraising event for the Cherokee Washington High Prom and Post-Prom Party is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Cherokee Golf Course Club House. The event is sponsored by the Prom and After Prom Committees. There will be a 7 p.m. cocktail hour, followed by a live auction at 8 p.m., with many valuable items to be auctiioned off to benefit the WHS Prom. This year in particular has been a long and bitter competition. People are naturally fed up, but we don’t know how the season could be shortened by government action without restricting constitutionally protected free speech...
