Bush and Mummert win contested races (Local News ~ 11/09/16)
Cherokee County went Republican from the top of the ballot down to county offices. There were 6,306 votes cast in the county, 72.1 percent of the total registered voters. There were only two county offices that were contested in the general election. In Cherokee County Board of Supervisors Director District 2, the incumbent Dennis Bush (R) received 3,857 votes (65.6 percent), holding off challenger Linda Bindner (D) who received 2,014 votes (34.3 percent)...
