We do not have a position on the change in Iowa law to allow greater access to fireworks, nor on the decision by the Cherokee City Council to pass an ordinance that will restrict use of fireworks inside the city limits. CRMC donates to Freedom Rock (Local News ~ 06/28/17)

Robotics projects (Local News ~ 06/28/17)
One of the Cherokee County 4-H Summer Camps took place on Monday June 26th at the Marcus Community Center, when a Robotics 2 session was held. The next Summer Camp takes place on July 6 at Spring Lake Park in Cherokee, when a geocaching session will be held, described as adventure through a treasure hunt using hand held GPS devices. Athletic Physicals in July

Cherokee girls break even against tough teams at Spencer Tourney (High School Sports ~ 06/28/17)
The Cherokee Braves softball team traveled to Spencer to compete in the Spencer Invitational tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Braves had a tough draw, competing against three ranked teams. On Friday, the Braves took down #14 4A Denison Monarchs, 12-4. The Braves took an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and never looked back , scoring in all but two innings.
