Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has two new deputies (Local News ~ 07/31/17)
Aaron Schroeder has been a law enforcement officer just short of two years, serving on the Lake View Police Department prior to recently becoming a deputy on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. Schroeder grew up in Dennison where graduated from high school in 1994. He then moved to Council Bluffs. Cherokee School District Registration

Registration for the Cherokee School District will be held at Cherokee Middle School commons and gym. Dates for registration will be Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Aug. 9 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration will consist of filling out registration paperwork, making any changes in medical or contact information, and purchasing adult activity tickets for $48. ...
