Library Book Baskets on display soon (Local News ~ 10/27/17)
The Cherokee Friends of the Library Book Baskets are being prepared for display at the library for the 18th annual Book Basket Project. Area library supporters have been bringing in their basket projects for the Friends to wrap, but there is still time to bring a book basket in! The Friends would like all baskets to be at the Library by Monday, October 30. The baskets will then be on display at the Library from Wednesday, November 1 until noon on Saturday, December 2... -

The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors Tuesday heard a requesr to consider relocating the Cherokee County Veterans Affairs Office due to ADA compliance issues. William Gauthier, Veteran Affairs Commissioner from Aurelia, reported on an ADA Compliance report that was conducted on the current location of the Veteran Affairs Office on North 4th Street and requested that the Board of Supervisors locate an alternate site that is more accessible for veterans.
