Cherokee girls take 2nd at Hinton Invite (High School Sports ~ 04/18/18)
HINTON - Despite temperatures in the low 50's and gusty conditions, the Cherokee girls track team was ready to compete last Thursday in the 28th Annual Hinton Blackhawks Girls Invite. In class “A” Hinton placed fifth with 92 team points, South O'Brien placed fourth with 104 points, West Manona placed third with 121 points, Cherokee placed second with 131 points, and Kingsley-Pierson Woodbury-Central won the meet with 225 team points... -

That outstanding characteristic is prevalent throughout Cherokee City and County and was put on display front and center with the Downtown Revitalization Facade Project soon nearing completion...

City Facade Project wrapping up

With just some tweaking and touch-ups remaining, The City of Cherokee nears completion of the downtown Facade Project that provided facelifts to the facades of 14 participating buildings in the downtown area. The joint project, which included grant monies and contributed funds from the City, Coiunty, CIC, CAEDC and Chamber of Commerce, and involved building owners, will be closed out July 1. ...
