I Love Books
(Column ~ 04/25/18)
As some of you may know, I love books. Books are the best. Reading and books have been a huge part of my life since birth, and I am so glad that I am passing this down to my kid. ...

(High School Sports ~ 04/25/18)
The Cherokee Braves Boys golf team finally got a chance to get outside and play some golf Friday night in Hinton. It was their first time outside this year and their first meet... all in one. Cherokee Coach Jams DeVos commented, "It was great to finally get our season going with a meet. Given the weird situation of having our first practice and meet on the same day, I'd say our boys responded very well to the challenge. Our team score of 212 was already comparable to our lowest scores of last year, and the boys are excited to finally be able to get outside and practice. Carson Jenness played very well for his first varsity meet and Jake Zwiefel did a nice job playing the number one position.". ...

Coach Travis Schipper commented, “ Coach Hoskinson and I were happy with our girls' overall effort again, but there are definitely some things we need to work on to get better. We are getting down to the last couple weeks of the season, and we need to clean some things up to be where we want to be at the conference and district meets. We will hopefully get fully healthy in the next couple of weeks and be ready to make this push towards the end of the season. I thought Lily Anderson ran one of her best races anchoring our Distance Medley to a firts place finish, She had one of the best splits in the 800 for her career. Megan, Bri, and Kassidy put us in a good position, but Lily really ran a tough and smart race there.”. ...
