On June 4th the South O’Brien girls traveled to Hinton and came away with a 9-7 conference win. The 4th inning turned out to be South O’Brien’s big inning as they scored five runs on four hits, a walk, and an error. Skye Rehder, Kaylee Jacobs, Struve and Hintz each recorded base hits that inning to make the score 7-5 in the Wolverines’ favor and to turn the momentum of the game. ...

The Ridge View baseball team lost a pair of Western Valley Conference games on June 7th and 8th. The Raptors played at Sloan on Thursday, and they scored first with a run in the 1st inning, but they weren’t able to score again in the game. The Ridge View softball team traveled to Paullina to compete in the South O’Brien Tournament on Saturday June 9th and came away with a 1-1 record on the day. In their first game Ridge View took on Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and came away with a 15-0, 3 inning victory. Picking up the win was Addison Schmidt, who threw all three innings giving up no hits and walking one.
