HOLSTEIN - Ridge View scored 14 runs in the 1st inning to take control of their Western Valley Conference Tournament game here Tuesday with River Valley right away. River Valley scored their lone run in the top of the 5th inning, and the game ended after that half inning. Each batter in the Ridge View starting lineup had a hit, led by Dylan Wood’s three hits and two RBI. Karlo Weldon had two hits and three RBI, Jaxon Franken had two hits and one RBI, and Logan Cuthrell had a double and three RBI. In all, the Raptors had 13 hits, including seven doubles. The Cherokee Braves took on Hull Western Christianon Monday evening in their last conference game, with the Braves coming up just short, 5-2. The Braves could not push any runs across the board until the 6th inning, when Sarah Kach walked and was driven in by a single from JeMae Nichols. The Braves got another run in the 7th inning when Lily Anderson singled and advanced to third on a passed ball.
