This was a banner year for this years Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Scarecrow contest. A record 21 businesses and organizations participated. he Cherokee Symphony will begin its 63rd season under the direction of Ted Hallberg, a cellist and band eacher from LeMars where he directs the 4-12 orchestra and is the music coordinator for the LeMars Community School District.
