Eighty-one new garland pole wraps and 162 red bows have been purchased for this year’s Christmas decorations in Cherokee.  The previous wraps were purchased in 2006 and were on display for 12 seasons.  Over time the garland developed bare spots and became tired looking. The Community of Christ Church of Cherokee is planning on holding its fourth annual display of Nativity scenes this year. It will be held December 10th, 12th, and 14th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and again on December 16th from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. Other display nativity scenes according to Carolyn Probasco of the Community of Christ Church inspired the idea.
