Add insubordination to the continuing allegations of job malfeasance against Cherokee Schools Superintendent Kim Lingenfelter and Roosevelt Elementary Principal Valery Fuhrman. With recent reading and math (growth) test scores significantly low for a Roosevelt elementary grade, School Board members Angie Anderson and Jodi Thomas specifically requested that Lingenfelter and Fuhrman attend Monday’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting to discuss the issue and discern what steps are being taken to remedy the low test scores, why such academic failure is occurring in that group of students, and how to prevent similar issues in the future. ...
