Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency. All Iowa restaurants and bars must suspend on premise service as of noon Tuesday. Carry out and delivery will be allowed. All Restaurants and Bars are hereby closed to the general public except that to the extent permitted by applicable law, and in accordance with any recommendations of the Iowa Department of Public Health, food and beverages may be sold if such food or beverages are promptly taken from the premises, such as on a carry-out or drive-through basis, or if the food or beverage is delivered to customers off the premises.. ...

We think the Cherokee County Board of Supervisors should take another look at the proposed F Avenue paving project designed to better accommodate the heavy truck traffic to and from the Little Sioux Corn Processing Plant. At present, there’s $6 million pegged in the 2020-21 FY budget for paving the three-mile stretch of gravel road that runs north from the LSCP to County Road C-16...

The six schools in the Chronicle-Times coverage area, Alta-Aurelia, Cherokee, MMCRU, South O”Brien, Ridge View and River Valley, had just one player recognized - senior Jackson Louscher of South O’Brien as a second team pick in Class 1A.
