Traditionally, the newsletter was a bit text heavy, with a fairly small font that was italicized. Last Friday the Cherokee Braves hosted the Cardinals of Garner Hayfield Ventura for their homecoming football game with hopes of getting back in the win column after the previous week’s loss against Ridge View. After much thought and consideration, the Cherokee football coaches and administration decided that they are unable to play the Varsity football game on Friday night at Okoboji. They have had several players out due to COVID-19 and they simply do not have enough Varsity ready players to play a game that would be safe for their athletes. Monday's JVR football game vs. Alta-Aurelia has also been canceled. There has been no decision on any other football games at this time...
