Braves drub Tornadoes in five innings (06/24/16)
STORM LAKE - The Cherokee Braves scored in every inning but one as they rolled to a 17-3 win over Storm Lake in Lakes Conference baseball action here Monday. Junior Trey Valentine had another good night on the mound, overcoming some control problems with a two-hit, four strikeout performance. The junior issued seven bases on balls, but the Braves' bats accounted for 12 hits (11 singles and one triple) to make up for it...
Cherokee girls win 3 softball games (06/24/16)
The Cherokee varsity softball team won three road victories in two days this week. On Monday the Braves played a doubleheader at Storm Lake, and Cherokee came away with wins by the scores of 11-0 and 7-6. In the first game,Josie Kindwall had a huge night at the plate, slugging three doubles and driving in three runs, and she wasn't the only Braves player swinging a hot bat, as Apryl Mesler had two hits and two RBI, Kamie Crum had two hits and three runs batted in, and Kass Pingel also collected a pair of hits and drove in a run. ...

The Alta-Aurelia softball team posted two more victories on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, the Warriors hosted West Bend-Mallard in Alta, and alta-Aurelia sophomore hurler Abby Kraemer had another outstanding night in the pitcher's circle, firing a six inning one-hit shutout and striking out 13, Kraemer also went 3-4 at the plate, including a two-run home run. CHEROKEE - The Cherokee Braves' varsity baseball team moved to 11-4 last Thursday after they beat Manson NW Webster by a score of 16-6 in six innings.
