Noah Eiden Named as Roosevelt's Reader

With the new year now into its second month and winter slowly dying down here in Cherokee, it's three cheers and a tip of the old presidential topper for Noah Eiden as he accepts the nod as Roosevelt's February Reader of the Month.

When the bell rings signaling another school day at Roosevelt Elementary, this pint-sized peruser can be found occupying his fair share of the kindergarten classroom.

Of all his subjects, Noah considers himself aces when it comes to recess...his favorite part of any academic day.

He also thinks Mrs. Kremer is pretty darned cool when it comes to teachers.

Noah can usually be counted on to make the trek from his classroom to the school library several times each week. I also have it on good authority that he seldom makes one of these trips without picking out a book to take home and read at his leisure.

As far as his idea of a good read is concerned, Noah rates the Clifford the Big Red Dog series right near the top of his preferred reading list.

He also notes that he enjoys reading the Peter Pan book he received last Christmas.

When his school day is over, this Roosevelt reader and hard-studying scholar has no trouble parking his lessons and getting in some quality play time.

He enjoys a whole bunch of activities, a list that includes wrestling, making snowmen in the winter, playing with his friend Joel, watching movies, making paper snowflakes and participating in scouting events.

As far as his future plans are concerned, Noah would like to attend college someday and become a teacher.

Until the day arrives for him to rule the roost in his own classroom, however, Noah Eiden can be found at his home over on Indian Street, an abode where he spends a whole lot of time hanging out with his parents...Matt and Beth, and his kid brothers...four-year-old Caleb, two-year-old Elijah and six-month-old Aaron.
