The Cherokee Ridge Runners annual Spring Rendezvous is on tap for Friday and Saturday at the Little Sioux Wildlife Area south of Cherokee.
The LSWA is located five miles south of Cherokee on U.S. Highway 59, west on County Road C44, south of River Road, east on 590th Street (gravel road), and south into entrance of the LSWA.
The public is welcome during daylight hours to the popular Spring Rendevous, this year to be highlighted by a special memorial for Bill Linderman and Thomas Phipps at 5 p.m. Saturday.
This year's Rendezvous features 11 shooting events and a hawk and knife throw. Particpants are to post and pull their own targets on the range and to bring their own staple gun.
Camping fees are $19 for modern, $17 for primitive, and $9 for a single. The range fee is $10.
This includes the Saturday Camp Feed, again limited to five meal tickets per camping family. Meal tickets are $3 per person for non-campers. There is limited water and wood supplies.
Scout attending need to be in uniform to receive camping and meal discounts. They are to wear their caps, sashes and troop badges.
