Edward Hickey IV and Katy Martin were united in marriage on April 9, 2005 at Danforth Chapel located at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. with Rev. Brian Adams officiating.

Katy is the daughter of Mark and Deb Cozine and Robin and Patrice Martin all of Cherokee. She is a 1998 graduate of Washington High School in Cherokee. She earned her BA in English from University of Kansas and is currently pursuing a masters degree in literary theory. She is also teaching composition at Kansas University.

Edward is the son of Edward Hickey III of Fort Meyers Beach, Fla. and Patricia McCullough of Naples, Fla. He has an Associates degree in Recording Engineering from Full Sail in Orlando, Fla. He is currently a web programmer for Platform Advertising in Olathe, Kan. and recording engineer at Neighborhood Studios in Lawrence.

The wedding party included the Bride's attendants, Leah Martin, Maid of Honor, Ezra Sykes, and Paige Hickey. Her personal attendants were Hannah Martin and David Brodie. The Groom's attendants were Jeremy Goldstein, Best Man, Steve Hunder, and Brett Vanderheyden.

The Groom wore a black three button notched lapel tuxedo with ivory vest and tie. The Bride wore an ivory silk crepe Vera Wang trumpet cut gown with chapel train. The bride's bouquet consisted of red roses and the other bouquets, boutonnieres and decorations were white calla lilies.

The reception was held at Macelis in Lawrence, Kan. Dinner included lemon caper chicken and herb and garlic beef. Toasts were given by Best Man and Maid of Honor, as well as Mark Cozine and groom's father. After dinner a dance was held and the Best Man acted as DJ for the guests.

The couple spent two weeks touring Italy for their honeymoon and will reside in Lawrence, Kan.
