Alicia Marie Buddenhagen and Justin Radal Thompson exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, June 8, 2005 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Father Armand Bertrand officiated.

Alicia is the daughter of Lloyd and Renee Buddenhagen of Aurelia. She is a 2001 graduate of Aurelia Community High School and a 2003 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College with a degree in Child Care Supervision and Management. She is currently employed at Bright Beginnings Daycare and Preschool as a preschool teacher and daycare provider.

Justin is the son of Tammy Boothby of Cherokee and Randy and Ester Thompson of Paullina. He is a 2001 graduate of Washington High School in Cherokee and a 2003 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College with a degree in Automotive Technology. He is currently employed at Rasmussen Ford in Cherokee as an Automotive Technician.

The bride wore a white luster satin gown with schiffli lace, crystal beading. It was a hug the shoulder scalloped neckline with a scalloped basque waistline, a castillion train, and covered buttons to the hem.

Her headpiece was crown tiara embellished with Austrian crystals with detachable fingertin veil. The flowers were off white roses accented with lilac and purple lillies and jasmine.

The grooms attire was a three button, black notch coat, white wing tux shirt, and citi-lite vest in silver with bow tie.

The maid of honor was Jessica Buddenhagen, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Dickman, Liz Tuttle, both friends of the couple, and Jennifer Westphal, sister of the groom.

Bridesmaids wore amethyst windsor satin with shimmer chiffon overlay, an empire waist, a-line, floor length skirt trimmed with white roses and chiffon bow tied in the back.

The flower girl was Lane Thompson, sister of the groom, and Emily Westphal, niece of the groom. The ring bearer was Levi VanderWoude, cousin of the bride.

The best man was Cody Klaschen, friend of the couple. The groomsmen where Jerud Thompson, brother of the groom, Randy Hale, cousin of the groom, and Eric Lundell, friend of the couple.

Ushers were Eric Buddenhagen, brother of the bride, Billy Prescott and Brandon Rife, both friends of the couple. The music soloist was Mary Raveling.

A dinner reception was held at the Cherokee Community Center with a dance following at the VFW in Cherokee. The couple now makes their home in Cherokee.
