The Cherokee Parks & Recreation Department and Washington High School cheerleaders are once again teaming to offer the annual Junior Cheerleading Program.
Flyers have been distributed throughout the Cherokee school system and the program is available to kids in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. Cost is $15 and practices will be held in the Cherokee Community Center after school until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31; Wednesday, February 1; and Thursday, February 2.
All Junior Cheerleaders will receive a T-shirt to wear when they cheer at halftime of the home basketball games against Spirit Lake on Friday, February 3.
A portion of the proceeds raised by the program fees supports the WHS cheerleading program. The program has provided more than $3,000 to WHS since it began.
