Reserves shoot in Des Moines

Last fall the Cherokee Police Reserves went to Des Moines to compete in the annual Police Reserve Competition shoot. The group of 11 reserves competed in three different categories at six levels of competition: duty handgun, duty shotgun and the team shoot.

In the new shooter competition, Cory Bouchard placed second in duty handgun and second place in duty shotgun. John York placed third in duty handgun (new shooter competition). Brent Nelson placed second in duty handgun (sharp-shooter competition). For the team competition the reserve group placed fifth overall.
