This weekend will see graduations at many area high schools, good reason for celebrations.
However, celebration does not need to involve risk of tragedy. Too often, young people across the country celebrating this right of passage to adult responsibilities become the victims of alcohol or drug related accidents.
If you do plan to use alcohol (an illegal activity we don't recommend for high school age youth) plan ahead so that you are not behind the wheel of a car when intoxicated and not a passenger in a car with an intoxicated driver.
Better yet, plan a sober celebration. You'll have as much or more fun and feel a lot better the next day, maybe for the rest of your life.
