Parents of the groom are John and Marlys Langschwager of Cherokee. His grandparents are Dorothy Langschwager of Correctionville, the late Donald Langschwager, and the late Lloyd and Helen Meyer. The bride is the daughter of Kim Daum of Alton and Michael Olson of Quimby, Iowa. Her grandparents are James and Lorna Olson of Cleghorn, Meg Alesch of Marcus and the late James Alesch.
Reverend Richard Arndt officiated the 3 p.m. wedding ceremony, with Jean Olson as the organist and Jaclyn Olson as the scripture reader.
Jaclyn Olson was the maid of honor, sister of the bride, and the bride's attendants were Darcie Olson, sister-in-law of the bride, Jennifer Beazley, sister of the groom, Anne Olson, sister-in-law of the bride, and Sarah Olson, cousin of the bride. Her personal attendant was Karla Solko, aunt of the bride. Faith Olson was the miniature bride, niece of the bride. Flower girls were Madison Beazley, Jenna Beazley and Isabelle Olson, God-children of the couple.
Mitchell Case was the best man, friend of the groom, and the groomsmen were Michael Olson, brother of the bride, Michael Beazley, brother-in-law of the groom, Matthew Olson, brother of the bride, and Jason Langschwager, brother of the groom. Tristen Olson was the miniature groom, nephew of the bride. Ring bearer was Brady Alesch, God-child of the bride. Ushers were John Kohn, Seth Thill, and Matt Glienke, friends of the groom.
A reception took place at the VFW Club in Cherokee, hosted by Kory and Jamie Alesch and Ron and Gayla Bush.
The bride graduated from MOC-Floyd Valley High School in Orange City and currently attends Buena Vista University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. The groom graduated from Washington High School in Cherokee and received his power lineman diploma from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon. He is currently employed as an apprentice lineman for Aurelia Municipal Electric.
Following a honeymoon trip, the couple resides in Aurelia.
