The River Valley School Board dealt with several personnel matters at the Tuesday meeting.
The board approved a contract for Kent Bass as 7-12 P.E./Health teacher, head high school football coach, head high school baseball coach, weight training coach, as assistant high school track coach.
The board approved a contract for Sandra Allen as high school journalism/English instructor and football and basketball cheerleading sponsor.
The board approved Ryan Brown as senior class sponsor.
The board accepted the resignation of Mike Persinger as junior high volleyball coach and approved a contract for him as high school assistant volleyball coach.
The board accepted the resignation of Terry Jensen as assistant high school football coach and offered him a contract as head high school girls' basketball coach. Jensen, a board member, abstained on those motions.
The board accepted the resignation of Ken Peterson as head baseball coach.
The bid from Well's Blue Bunny Dairy was approved for Dairy products. Well's was the only bid.
Because River Valley has buildings in two towns and bread delivery is not available from the same company for both towns, two bakeries were approved for bread delivery. These are Earth Grains and Hostess.
The board approved the lowest of four bids for propane, from Western Iowa Co-op.
The board reappointed Ahlers Law firm as legal council.
The board reappointed the Chronicle Times and the Sioux Valley News as official publications of the district.
