Wurr/Johnson wedding

Melissa Ann Wurr and Wade Earl Johnson were married Saturday, July 29th in Holstein during an early evening ceremony. Ryan Kolpin of Aurelia was the officiant for the ceremony. A reception and dance were held at the Holstein Country Club.

Parent sof the couple are Jim and Cindy Wurr, Holstein; Bruce Johnson, Bloomfield and Karen Warden, Galatin, Mo.

Jessica Wurr, sister of the bride, Holstein, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Horton, friend of the couple, Cherokee; Erin Leonard, friend of the bride, Omaha; Ginny Visser, friend of the bride, Mason City and Chasity Longnecker, friend of the couple, Nevada. Hailee Knight of Holstein was flower girl.

Justin Clark, friend of the groom, Sioux City, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Horton, friend of the couple, Cherokee, Josh Bliven and Tyler Woods, both friend of the groom, Sioux City and Matt Cover, friend of the couple, Nevada. Brandon Johnson, brother of the groom, Bloomfield and Clint McCall, friend of the groom, Bloomfield, served as ushers.

Hosts and hostesses for the reception were Robert and Shari Shontz of Holstein and Rex and Mary Reisdorph of Holstein.

The couple's honeymoon was spent in Okoboji.

Melissa and Wade will reside in Windsor Heights. Melissa will teach high school special education in the Johnston Community School District. Wade is currently finishing his deployment in Iraq and will return in March.
