South O'Brien girls face SB-L in opener
PAULLINA - The South O'Brien Wolverines took on a tough Sergeant Bluff-Luton team in season-opening War Eagle Conference volleyball action here Tuesday night, and dropped three of four games to the talented Warriors.
Game scores were 25-17, 19-25, 25-13, and 25-10 in favor of visiting SB-L.
Wolverine coach Denise Erdmann said that "This was a good matchup for us at the start of the season. We did some things well, especially in game two."
Erdmann went on to say, "There are some areas where we need to improve. We'll learn from this match."
Jill Paulsen and Kami Hetletvedt each had four kills for the Wolverines. Ashton Roberts and Reagan Ebel led the way with 14 and 13 digs, respectively, and Chelsey Ebel had 11 assists.
South O'Brien plays in the Spencer Tournament on Saturday.
