Wendy Richardson, second grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary, had two special students this summer - her son Tyler and her daughter Taylor. Richardson, who lives at 1502 Susan Avenue with her family, taught first grader Tyler and kindergartener
Taylor the route to their school (Roosevelt), as well as bike safety rules.
According to Wendy, Tyler wanted to ride his bike to school last year, but sister Taylor had to be taken to the sitter's, so bike riding had to be put off until this fall, when Taylor started school.

Mom and the two kids now ride their bikes together to school most weekday mornings at 7:30, and return home as a group at about 3:40 p.m. They ride in a line on the sidewalk (along Roosevelt Street), with Mom at the back, until they reach their home.
