Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson
Jenna Lee Schweitzer of Strang and Robert Mark Johnson of Cleghorn, were united in marriage on July 1, 2006 at Bethel Church in rural Carleton. Pastors Jim Hubble and Larry Ostercamp officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Lisa Schweitzer of Strang and Mark and Karen Johnson of Cleghorn.

Honored guests included Clint and Marilyn Schweitzer and Gary and Cheryl Bredensteiner, grandparents of the bride, and Robert and Margaret Abbas, grandparents of the groom. The bouquet on the altar represented Ronald Schroeder, deceased grandfather of the bride, and Robert and Fern Johnson, deceased grandparents of the groom.

Serving the bride as the Maid of Honor was Lindsey Petersen of Cleghorn, friend of the couple,. Bridesmaids included the bride's sisters, Andrea and Kylee Schweitzer of Strang, and the groom's sister, LeAnn Johnson of Cleghorn.

Serving the groom as Best Man was his brother, Ryan Johnson of Cleghorn. Groomsmen included Eric Staveness of Cherokee, friend of the groom; Garrett and Luke Schweitzer of Strang, brothers of the bride; and the Junior Groomsman was Shane Johnson of Cleghorn, brother of the groom.

Serving as flower girls were Bethany Miller of Lander, Wyoming, and Emmalea Bonura of Kalispell, Montana, both cousins of the bride. Serving as ring bearer was Jachin Bonura of Kalispell, Montana, cousin of the bride.

Ushers for the ceremony included Jessy Smit of Linden, Wash. Garrett Hovland of Briclyn, Minn. and Ross Peterson of Cleghorn, all friends of the groom.

Personal Attendants included Mindy Zauha and Kelsey Erb, both friends of the bride. Sitting at the guest book and program attendants were Andrea McClure and Jill Swanson, both cousins of the groom.

Providing music for the ceremony were pianists Marti Alfs, friend of the bride, Deb Davis, aunt of the bride. Soloist Erin Lichti, and flautist Abby Alfs, both friends of the bride. Darren Davis, cousin of the bride, was in charge of sound. Kevin McClure, cousin of the groom, videotaped the ceremony.

Flower petal attendant was Tami Scheil, aunt of the bride. Bubble attendants were Delaney Davis and McKenzie Scheil, cousins of the bride.

Hosting the couple at the reception at the Davenport Community Center were Lesli and Merlin Miller, aunt and uncle of the bride, Laura Schroeder, aunt of the bride, and Ruth and Jerry Fischer, aunt and uncle of the groom.

Cutting the cake were aunts of the groom Deb Ovre, Sharon Johnson, Gail Swanson, and Jan Fox. The cake was provided by Karen Reeb. The food was provided by Busses Food Center in Shickley. Music was provided by Chris Gangsted and Soundsgood Productions of Fairmont.

The bridesmaids' and flower girls' dresses were done by Cheryl Bredensteiner, grandmother of the bride, Connie Lichty, great aunt of the bride, and Renae Ogren, friend of the groom. The bride's gown was altered and refinished by Jan Ashby, friend of the bride. A huge thanks to those ladies for all the time and effort they put into those dresses. They turned out perfectly!

After a wedding trip to Colorado, the couple resides in rural Cleghorn. The bride is a 2006 graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, with a degree in elementary education and an endorsement in coaching. She will be substitute teaching at various schools in the area and coaching Jr. High volleyball and basketball at MMC schools in Cleghorn. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Dordt College in Sioux Center with a degree in agriculture. He farms with his father in the Cleghorn area.
