Special visitor to MMC elementary school

The MMC elementary students lined the hall with flags and ribbons to wave and clap their hands for one of their own who has returned safely. He served as a security guard in Baghdad. Tim Smith joined the Air Force National Guard to serve his country while also receiving the benefit of furthering his education. He lives in Sioux Falls and will attend school in that area. Smith has an eight year commitment to the guard, and will serve when called upon. He is married to Sarah Medick.

Tim Smith, former MMC graduate, visited MMC elementary school in Cleghorn school recently. Smith just returned home from military service in Iraq, and he spoke that day to a group of Kindergarteners and first graders about his military service in Iraq,where he

served as a security guard in Baghdad.

Smith joined the Air Force National Guard to serve his country, also receiving the benefit of furthering his education.

Smith has an eight year commitment to the guard, and will gladly serve again if called upon to do so.

Tim lives in Sioux Falls with his wife, the former Sarah Medick, and plans to attend school there.
