Kristi Knoben and Kelly Kannegieter exchanged wedding vows on July 22, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee. Pastor Carolyn Hollar officiated. Parents of the couple are Chuck and Sally Knoben of Cherokee and Rob and Diane Kannegieter of Aurelia.

Her father gave the bride in marriage. Serving as maid of honor was Kim Briggs, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Korrie Waldner, sister of the bride, Julia Slota, friend of the couple, Karissa Briggs and Kammy Briggs, nieces of the bride. Kayden Waldner, Niece of the bride, and Addisyn Van Oort, niece of the groom, were the flower girls. Nikki Van Oort, sister of the groom was the bride's personal attendant

Matt Sangwin, friend of the couple, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Kannegieter, brother of the groom, Mark Van Oort, brother-in-law of the groom, Charlie Briggs, nephew of the bride, and Kory Van Oort, nephew of the groom. Jack Waldner, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Ushers were Jeff Waldner, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ben Carstens, Jim Carstens, and Kent Simonsen, all cousins of the bride.

Kerry Selby, soloist, was accompanied by organist, Dan Kratz. The guest book was attended by the groom's sister, Lanaya Kannegieter, and Jessica Ferris, friend of the couple.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at Western Iowa Tech Coference Center. Serving as host and hostesses were aunts and uncles of the bride, Mark and Kathy Simonsen, and Dave and Connie Carstens, and aunt and uncle of the groom, Robert and Ronda Van Briesen.

The couple honeymooned in the Black Hills area. Kristi is working as a registered nurse at the Mental Health Insitute in Cherokee. Kelly is employed at Screenbuilders in Cherokee. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Kannegieter are living in Aurelia, Iowa.
