The Cherokee School Board approved a 10-day trip to Europe for the Washington High School German Club, to take place starting May 24.
Jeanne Blackstone, German instructor and German Club sponsor, gave a presentation to the school board Monday, including a video presentation from last summer's trip to Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.
Blackstone said the trip for next summer will be to the same places. There are 14 students planning on taking the trip, which will cost $2,000 per student plus some spending money.
There was a tight time frame to book the trip between the end of the school year and the start of the higher summer rates which begin on May 25.
