PAULLINA - South O'Brien coach Julie Paulsen felt that the Wolverine girls "came out tonight (Saturday against Sheldon) and played much better" than they had in their first two games of the week, though they did end up losing the game, 47-42.
"We were much more patient with our offense, and I'm proud of the intensity the girls maintained, as this was our third game this week. Overall, I feel we had a good ballgame- we played a full four quarters."
Turnovers were again a factor for the Wolverines, and Paulsen said the team will continue to work on that area.
Chelsea Tesch scored 11 points to lead SOS, and Carrie Egdorf scored 10. The pair also led the team in rebounds, with Tesch snaring six caroms and Egdorf four. Jill Paulsen had five steals on defense, and Egdorf dished out three assists.
South O'Brien will travel to LeMars to play Gehlen on Friday night.
