Area gridders make All-NW Iowa

Cherokee's Chris Campbell
SIOUX CITY - Cherokee Washington High wide receiver Chris Campbell, a junior, and placekicker Andrew Dawson, a senior, have been selected for the Sioux City Journal's All - Northwest Iowa first team, announced on Sunday.

Several other area gridders were also named to the honored list. Cherokee quarterback Tyler Jones, a sophomore, was named to the second team offense, and two Galva-Holstein Pirates were named to the second team defensive unit - junior lineman Tanner Gebers and senior linebacker Austin Todd.

Aurelia's Jacob Bruce
Named to the third team defense were Galva-Holstein senior lineman Daniel Borchers and two Aurelia Bulldog seniors - linebacker Gabe Fuller and defensive back Jacob Bruce.

River Valley lineman Matthew Lundt, a senior, was named to the fourth team offensive unit, and fourth team defensive selections included junior linebacker Thor Klinker of South O'Brien and senior place kicker Kevin Leavitt of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn.
