Wolverine girls have strong showing

PAULLINA - The South O'Brien girls played very well coming off the Christmas break , and posted a 51-46 non-conference win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in basketball action here on Tuesday night.

South O'Brien led at all the stops, 17-9, 31-20, and 37-32, before posting the final score.

Coach Julie Paulsen was very proud of the team's strong team play, as they had a balanced scoring attack, with Jill Paulsen netting 15, Chelsie Rohrs 12, and Chelsea Tesch 11 points for the Wolverines.

Rohrs, with eight, and Paulsen, with seven, led the team in rebounding. Rohrs also led the team in steals with three, while Carrie Egdorf dished out four assists.

The South O'Brien boys and girls host the Spirit Lake teams on Saturday night in non-league action.
