AURELIA- The Aurelia-Galva-Holstein wrestlers hosted four other teams Saturday Jan. 6, 2007 at the annual AGH Dual Tournament here.
The host team placed second with a 3-1 record, losing their final match of the day , 42-30, to the highly-ranked Akron-Westfield Westerners, who are coached by former Aurelia wrestler and AGH assistant coach Mark VanOort.
The Westerners went 4-0 on the day. Their first match, a 60-15 win against MOC-Floyd Valley, marked Coach Van Oorts' 100th career dual win, and the A-W cheerleaders presented the coach with a balloon bouquet to celebrate.
Aurelia defeated MOC-Floyd Valley 55-12, Manson-NW Webster 42-30, and Estherville-Lincoln Central 60-12, before dropping the tight finale with A-W.
