Pirates drop game to MV-AO

HOLSTEIN - The Galva-Holstein boys, undefeated in regular season Maple Valley Conference play, lost by a single point to the Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto Rams in Maple Valley Conference Tournament play here Tuesday night, 44-43.

Pirate coach Bob Lee said "it was a very close game throughout - both teams played very hard. We had some turnovers at costly times, and Maple Valley was able to capitalize on them."

Elijah Miller paced Pirate scoring with 16 points and Nick Andresen added 15, while Adrian Tracy netted nine points on three 3-point field goals.

Miller added eight rebounds, one steal, and blocked two Ram shots, and Andresen also grabbed six caroms off the glass. Travis Hazard led Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto with 14 points.
