MARCUS - The Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn Eagles took on Kingsley-Pierson here on Feb.15th in a non-conference regular season finale. MMC led at every quarter stop as they beat the Panthers, 59-48.

Now, the two teams must turn around and play again in the first round of the District Tournament on Feb.19th , this time at Kingsley.

MMC coach Al Vasher said, "It was a different game. With the district game on Monday, I felt that both teams kind of held back. I didn't think we played with enough energy throughout the game. We played well enough to win, but we will have to play better on Monday."

MMC was led in scoring by Jordan Boekhout with 22 points, Tim Holmes with 15, and Nate Dammann, with 14. Dammann also grabbed 10 rebounds and Boekhout eight, while Holmes and Dammann each had four steals on defense, and Justin Henke dished out two assists.

Levi VanderVliet led the Panthers in both scoring and rebounding, with 16 points and nine boards.

The Eagles finished the regular season with a 2-7 War Eagle Conference record, and were 7-14 overall.
