Linda McDonald, 59, Cherokee, died at her home Wednesday, March 21, 2007, following an extended illness.

Services were held Saturday March 24, 2007 at the Meriden Evangelical Free Church, Meriden. Pastor Larry Ostercamp officiated. Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

McDonald was born on Feb. 8, 1948 in Primghar, to Burdette and Lillian (Buss) Menke. She graduated from Washington High School Cherokee, Iowa in 1966, and on Dec. 21, 1968, married Jim McDonald. Linda worked as a bookkeeper at Builders Sharpening and Service for many years. She loved her Lord, her family, her church family and so many dear friends.

She is survived by her husband, two children; Mike McDonald and his wife, Susy, of Ankeny and Jill Johnston and her husband, Neal, of Meriden; granddaughters Emma McDonald, and Taylor and Trista Johnston; a sister, Darleen Agnitsch and her husband, Jack, of Cherokee; brothers; Rick Menke and his wife, Jeanette, of Lincoln, Neb., Jerry Menke and his wife, Vicky, of Cherokee, Randy Menke and his wife, Kathy, of Cherokee, and Larry Menke of Cherokee; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
