Braves win Aurelia triangular

Cherokee's Johnson is medalist

AURELIA - The Cherokee Braves captured the team title of a boys golf triangular here Friday, totaling a 174, to runner-up Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn's 181, and host Aurelia's 186.

Mark Johnson of Cherokee was meet medalist with a 41, and Jacob Lehnhoff of MMC was runner-up, also with a 41.

Other low medal for Cherokee were Casey Cuthrell 44, Andy Braun 44, and David Cook 45. Also, Scott Brown carded a 46, and Matt Pitts 52 in the warm, windy conditions.

Other low scorers for MMC were Tim Holmes 45, Jordan Petersen 46, and Jerad Letsche 49. Also, Darren Morse shot 49, and Luke Dreckman 58 for the Eagles.

Greg Kolpin and Nick Felten were low for the Bulldogs with 43, while Jarrett Heubrock shot 46, and Nick Hirschman 54. Also, Matt Todd shot 55, and Kody Pinkerton 58 for Aurelia.
